This clips continues my interview with Janet Myers, wine maker of Mount Veeder Winery in Napa. It was taped immediately after the Robert Parker clip (Wine Reviw Short #15)… Sorry about the technical quality, it was dark and noisy at the restaurant!
I especially enjoyed the complex yet approachable 1997 Mount Veeder Reserve ( a blend of 5 Bordeaux varietals) even though tasted following an unforgettable afternoon tasting with Robert Parker of 20 plus 2005 top Bordeaux wines. The wine held its own on this side of the great pond and is definitely new world but with style and elegance (POW 94). I have taken notice and will be following Janet’s career and her wines.
