3 Pack Sparkler Valentine Promotion
When I got the call from the good folks at Tippr about running a bubbly special for Valentine I got caught into a conundrum: How to pick 3 bottles out of hundreds of selections that we come across and still deliver them under $40. It was a tall order but someone had to rise up to the task. Taking on the challenge and doubling up on my duties last month with the busy holiday season I ended up taking a few bottles home every night and tasting the wines. I assembled myself a little station by the kitchen sink and off I went, pouring, tasting and watching the bubbles rise. My poor dog Balto (a 140 pound Alaskan Malamute / Siberian Husky Mix) rose up from his constant state of sleep with each pop of the sparkling bottle. After a few nights of this Balto would completely ignore me. I must have transformed in his eyes from being the loving master with treats to this noisy monster that makes very annoying noises popping and spitting! I soldiered on despite the funny stares from my teenage kids's friends (my own kids long long ago stopped noticing) and voila I managed to pick the final 3 with some arm twisting along the way as I dialed the speed button to the prince of wine suppliers. Enjoy the fruit of my hard labor and onward and upward to the next assignment: Pinot Noir anyone?

Inaugural Prince of Wine TV post - Video Recipe
I am sending this out as our first post under the "blog" tab of the prince of wine ecommerce site. I started out the prince of wine site originally as a blog in 2008 and I posted many videos of my personal tastings and wanderings. Last year and after much preparation, I took the plunge and abandoned the original blog and converted the site to a time business which is a full fledged wine ecommerce retailer. For those of you who have subscribed to our original blog I am simply starting fresh under this format within the e-commerce site. For our old and new subscribers I welcome you and I look forward to have you as my personal guests on the site.
