iPOW- Wine on Tap

I was at a wine trade tasting yesterday and I happened to meet Jordan Kivelstadt of Free Flow Wines. I shot this video using my iPhone so it is a bit quirky. The delivery of wine in methods other than the conventional bottle has been gaining momentum.

I do support the concept of wine taps in all their formats as I see it solving the most common problem when ordering wine by the glass: Oxydation (freshness) and wine temperature.

An iPhone interview? What a great concept and interview Walid. Your improvisation was just awesome and entertaining. Of course, I’m having wine right now…so my judgement may be impaired. Dr. Sifuentes

Thanks Dr Sifuentes. I have many more to post but I am working on a new wine project that is taking a lot of my time. Stay tuned!

As you know, the Americans have perfected the science of wine making to the point where Vin Ordinaire is now a world wide success with many countries adding their blends to the mix. The Algerians, Argentines, Australians, and even the Spanish are producing some really fine stuff for under $10.00 a bottle. The competition is so keen that if you pay anymore than about $12.00 for a bottle of wine you will be buying label. And now with the advent of the Vin Ordinaire on the tap – the $1.00 a glass for the house special is just around the corner. Perhaps it might even be complimentary for the evening special. The 6,7,8 dollars we pay now is on its way out as the masses learn how good a glass of wine makes their dinner taste. For Sachiko and I the only reason we have a kitchen is because it came with the house. Now that corks are plastic, wine in a box is at least drinkable, the $100.00 bottle of wine is going to be history. I never did like beer anyway. Happy trails keep up the good work.
With Warm Regards /s/ Sachiko and Jack Dennis from the Village Alpine
